Welcome to Intelligent Completions on the Net (ICON). This is an oil and gas industry initiative with the aim of developing an accurate and relevant global knowledge resource on intelligent completions for the benefits of all levels of the oil & gas supply chain.
This web portal enables access to data held on over 2700 intelligent completions worldwide. The data is validated on an annual basis with input from both oil companies and manufacturers. Failure data is gathered in accordance with ISO 14224: Petroleum and natural gas industries – collection and exchange of reliability and maintenance data for equipment.
Read/write access to the database is restricted to ICON members only, however manufacturers may submit their own information for inclusion. To submit data please use this MS Excel format.

Feb 08: ICON was represented at Intelligent Energy 2008 in Amsterdam - 25-27th Feb
Nov 07: The ICON database now profiles over 2700 downhole gauges and 350 intelligent completions. On-line graphical data analysis is now available to assess the reliabilty of these gauges and sensors.
Feb 06: The ICON Steering Committee was represented at the SPE ATW on In-Well Optical Sensing (7/8th Feb 2006) at Galveston, Texas. Annie Hairsine presented ICON at the SPE conference, a copy of the presentation can be found here.
